I’m Marcel, a young architect exploring the relationship between light, space and atmosphere.

I studied architecture, where my interest in light began to develop into something much more than a technical consideration. I became fascinated by how strongly light can influence the way we perceive a space — sometimes consciously, sometimes almost imperceptibly.

For me, light can be the difference between a room simply working and a place feeling like home.

Today, I focus on lighting design and interior architecture, combining analytical thinking with a strong sensitivity for atmosphere, material and detail. I work from the overall spatial idea down to the smallest element, always looking for the connections between light, architecture and the way a space is experienced.

My work includes lighting concepts and analysis, spatial design, visualisation and rendering. I particularly enjoy making ideas tangible — turning an initial thought into something that can be understood, discussed and ultimately experienced.

I believe good design does not always need to be loud. Sometimes it is about creating the right atmosphere, the right balance and the feeling that everything simply belongs together.

LEGAT STUDIO is my way of working with that relationship between architecture, interior and light.
